- 특별히 눈 여겨 보고 있는 후배가 있나. 

정용화요. 어제도 6년 만에 ‘미남이시네요’팀 회식이 있었거든요. 조연 배우들까지 다 모였어요. 용화는 참 건실해요. 묵묵히 자기가 하고 싶은 음악하면서 작곡도 하고. 제가 술 먹자고 하면 나오지도 않는다. 휴대폰을 보지도 않아요. 한참 뒤에 ‘형 죄송해요. 늦었어요’라고 답장이 오는데 저는 ‘아니다. 괜찮다. 계속 바빠라’라고 해요. 그렇게 좋은 곡을 만들어서 멋있게 공연하고 진정한 록커가 됐으면 좋겠어요.

Q. Is there a hubae(junior in the industry) you're keeping special eyes on?

Jung Yonghwa. Yesterday, there was a group dinner for "You're Beautiful" team in 6 years. All the actors, including the supporting actors, all gathered together. Yonghwa's so solid and hardworking. He quietly works on the music he wants and even composes. When I ask him to have a drink with me, he doesn't even come out. He doesn't even look at his cell phone. After a long time, he replies, "Hyung I'm sorry, I'm late." But I say, "No that's okay, keep being busy." I want him to keep making such good music, perform it awesomely, and become a true rocker.

    I'm happy that they have remained close even though they have been apart. This hyung-dongseng relationship is very enduring and sweet. I'm always thankful to him for giving YH lots of encouragement and support especially when he was a total newbie.

    I love this because JGS first saw YH when YH was a total newbie, but even today JGS has such nice things to say about him- a testimony to the fact that YH hasn't changed over the years due to fame or success, but remains focused on his music :)
