씨엔블루 - 2gether
굳이 아이돌로 한정하지 않아도 근사한 밴드 앨범이었다. 생생한 멜로디 감각을 뽐낸 유려한 선율과 이를 탄탄하게 뒷받침하는 팝록 사운드가 훌륭했고 물 오른 정용화의 보컬 역시 흠 잡을 곳이 없었다. 록의 비중이 좀 줄었다지만 아무렴 어떤가. 곱지 못했던 시선과 편견에 굴하지 않고 꿋꿋이 좋은 음악을 만들어온 이들의 노력이 이토록 찬란하게 꽃을 피웠는데.

It was a fine band album by itself, not just among idols. Smooth tunes that showcase their fresh sense of melody-making, as well as the pop-rock sound that firmly supports them were superb. Jung Yonghwa's vocals, at his finest, is also impeccable. Some say the rock elements are no longer quite prominent, but so what? Their continued effort to make good music, in spite of the hostile views and prejudices, has bloomed into such a radiant flower.

Wow, this critic has been full of praises lately. Love the part about YH's vocal. He must be completely over his prejudice. I bet his reviews of YH's previous albums would be very different if he is writing them now.

This is my favourite part of his review and I totally agree with him. There has been many criticism about the reduced rock element but I am so happy that as a true musician, he is trying out various sounds and genres and giving us surprises after surprises. -
Through Yonghwa's music I learnt to appreciate the music - what I meant is that I learnt to enjoy an whole album, not only the title track... For me the 2gether (as well as One fine day) album is so solid, I love now to listen to the whole album, not only one song or other. There are different genres of music that are blended so well - that's is only a true musician could have sense to combine...
I just watched online the concert Come Together in Beijing with only focus on Yonghwa and he improved his vocals tremendously - there are 2 hours when he sang continuously, and more than that impeccable. Year by year he improved in every aspects of musicianship: stage presence, composition, singing, collaborations etc - it's really a pleasure to see how he evolved!
I didn't have the opportunity to listen to Yonghwa/Cnblue live, but if he/they will not come soon in Europe for a concert I have no doubts I will come in Asia only to be mesmerized by him... -
