스케치북 6주년 특집 <THE VOCAL>의 첫 번째 게스트로 방송데뷔 36년차, 가수 데뷔 32년차인 이문세가 무대에 올랐다. 이문세는 유희열의 피아노 반주에 맞춰 노래를 하며 멋진 무대를 펼쳤다. 이문세는 인생 최고의 노래를 꼽으며 “내 음악인생에 전반전과 후반전이 있다면, 후반전을 멋지게 시작하게 해준 노래가 조조할인이다. 유희열이 멋지게 만들어줬다.”고 말했다.

이에 유희열은 “조조할인은 내 인생에서 가장 빛나는 순간에 만들었던 가장 빛나는 곡이다.
이문세 선배에게 항상 감사하게다”고 답했다. 이어 조조할인을 불러달라는 MC 유희열의 요청에 이문세는 “오늘 한류코러스를 모셨다”며 정용화를 소개했고, 이문세-정용화-유희열은 함께 조조할인을 부르며 관객들에게 큰 박수를 받았다.

이어 정용화는 “이문세의 소녀를 가장 좋아한다”고 말하며 즉석에서 연주와 함께 노래를 했는데,
이문세의 환상적인 화음이 어우러져 MC 유희열과 관객들을 감동시켰다.
이문세를 지원사격하기 위해 나선 정용화는 이어진 무대에서 함께 노래를 했고, 노래 중간 춤까지 함께 추며 선후배간의 멋지고 감동적인 콜라보레이션 무대를 만들었다.

또한 이문세는 대한민국이 이문세의 목소리를 기억하는 이유가 무엇인 것 같냐는 MC 유희열의 질문에 “아침에 깨우고 밤에 잠들게 하는 엄마의 목소리처럼 내 노래와 내가 진행했던 라디오가 그런 역할을 한 것 같다. 익숙함과 친근함 때문인 것 같다”고 말해 현장에 있는 모두를 동감하게 했으며,트렌디함을 잃지 않는 비결로 젊은 후배들인 나얼, 규현, 정용화 등과 작업하며 수혈을 받는다고 말해 녹화장을 웃음바다로 만들었다.

정용화는 이 날 녹화를 마친 후 제작진에게 뜻 깊고 감사한 무대였다며 언제든 또 불러달라는 메시지를 보냈다는 후문이다. 이 날 녹화 분은 스케치북 6년 역사상 앞당겨진 시간인 11시 55분에 방송되며 KBS2를 통해 오는 8일 시청할 수 있다.

*Can't trans all now, but upon YHY's request to sing "Early Bird Special" (a famous LMS song written by YHY), LMS called Yonghwa onto stage saying "I invited a Hallyu chorus today." The three of them sang the song together to the audience' big applause.

Then Yonghwa said he likes "Girl" among LMS's songs the most and sang/played the guitar. LMS added the harmony :) They followed with performing a song together, even dancing. (Spring breeze)

After the recording, Yonghwa told the YHY Sketchbook staff it was very meaningful and he's grateful, requesting them to call him again whenever.

YH is such a sweetie to his seniors and always add so much positive vibes to any event he graces. He's respectful of others and I always find him blending in to make a meaningful show. I am really happy he can attend music show(s) alone. I miss that beautiful voice too much.

Can't wait for this to air! Yonghwa has always been respectable and hardworking so its no wonder these respected senior musicians like and recognize him! ^^

I'm very happy for him and I am very proud that he was invited to this very special episode. Can't wait to watch the show.
