이분들 원타임은 한번이라도 들어보신 분들? 원타임이 오밀조밀한 훵큰롤??

멜로디가 자주 듣던 씨엔블루의 그것이라니 참 허탈하네요. 도대체 뭘 들었다는 말인지..

유제상이란분이 도대체 씨엔블루 노래를 뭘 얼마나 듣고 썼는지요? 자주듣던 씨엔블루의 그것이라함은? ㄱㄷㅎ작곡가의 곡을 말하는건가요? 참...

윗 분은 그래도 원타임을 들어보셨고, 응원가의 목적도 정확히 이해하고 계시네요. 스튜디오보다 라이브감을 더 의도한듯 하다는 부분은 예리한 캐치. 그렇지 않아도 funk는 용화도 자주 언급해왔는데, funk 'n roll이라는 분류는 흥미로운 듯.
아래 분은 아무리 봐도 외톨이야 혹은 직감 이상 들어본 일이 없으실 텐데, 그냥 씨엔블루가 싫으신 듯. 바로 '그' 류현진이기에 쓰인 가사들인데요.

그래도 윗분은 들어는 봤고 이 곡의 목적성도 이해는 하시는 군요. 아랫분은 곡에 대한 이해보다는 편견을 두고 그저그런 글을 쓰신듯... 흠흠.... 갈길이 머네요;

김영대님은 라이브를 언급하시는걸로 보아 상당히 관심있어 보이시는데요.그리고 유제상님은 그냥 씨엔블루가 별로이신듯.바로 스포츠 응원송이라서 그런 가사인데..

Interesting viewpoint. As a foreigner, I found the Arirang intro refreshing - somewhat familiar but not something that's overplayed, perhaps because we don't hear it as often as these critics. So it works well for a foreign audience as a link to Korea.

In terms of the lyrics, this is a fight song and therefore NEEDS to be narcissistic. Super athletes don't win games by telling themselves that they'll do their best, they tell themselves that they ARE the best. Am glad the critics at least acknowledged the context of the song in their review.

Let's also not forget that Yong Hwa wrote the melody 4 years ago as a 21 year old. His music style has grown a lot more sophisticated since then, though I still do love some of his earlier compositions.

아는 만큼 보고 듣는 것 같아요. 저 두번째분은 아닌 것은 없는데... 선입관만 잔뜩 가지고 계신 것 같아 안타깝네요..

어쨌든...두 분 평론의 공통점은 목적에 맞는 센스있는 편곡이란 건 인정하신거죠. 김영대씨는 원타임 원곡도 들어보신 느낌이 강하게 드네요.^^ 아직은 많이 알려지지 않은 용화의 음악에 평론가들이 관심을 갖고 용화의 음악에 대해 깊이 생각할 수 기회가 점점 느는 것 같아, 그 평가가 호평이든 혹평이든 굉장히 고무적인 일이라고 생각해요.

사실 이 곡은 음원으로도 멋지지만, 다른 누구보다 다저스태디움에서 류현진 선수의 등판을 지켜보는 관중들이 듣는 것을 염두에 두고 쓰인 곡이죠.
"이 곡이 TV 중계로 봤을 때는 길게 접할 기회도 없고, 별로 그렇게 큰 감흥은 없었습니다 하지만 직접 다저스타디움에서 류현진이 등장할 때 울려퍼지는 음악을 들으니 상당히 멋진 곡이더군요." 라던 이 리뷰가 바로 그 의도된 청자가 느낀 그대로가 아닌가 싶어요.

This song is specially rewritten for the US MLB, of course it makes sense to be written in english cos that's their target audience. It being a theme song for a major sports star, of course it has to be more rock and the wordings inspiring. I think these critiques are missing the big picture.

선입견없이 제대로 정당하게 평가받는 날이 오겠죠. 용화의 음악적 재능과 열정을 믿습니당~!!!(근거가 확실한 믿음^^)

No one expects a deep metaphor or an elegant poem from a fight song, which is supposed to pump up the blood flow of the athletes. I love and respect YH's intelligence and the talent of knowing exactly for whom and what he is writing the songs. Very evident when he wrote for Juniel and AOA, and the Casting Love for MHIYD. I am constantly amazed by this young man's intelligence and the courage to execute his beliefs. Oh well, bad attention is an attention after all.

윗분은 원타임을 알고 쓰신거같고, 언급하신거 보면 라이브 영상도 관심을 두시는 분인거 같아요. 아랫분은 기냥 편견에 사로 잡히신 분 같습니다. 쨋거나 이건 목적송임이 분명한데요.

I like the Arirang intro very much; in fact I thought it was very appropriate & smart way to inform/remind audience Ryu is from Korea. I love the lyrics too ... speaks of a person who works hard & play to win. I like that it's direct & forceful .... well written & match the persona of Ryu when he's in a game.

I'm just speechless OMG

I personally don't find the intro cheesy at all. In fact, i feel it reminds the audiences of Ryu's country of origin^^ As for the "cringy lyrics", i find it perfectly normal for a fight song to be full of motivational words -- to motivate the player to be fearless and do his best.

Personally, i do not see the point of their review, or they are missing the whole point of the song...whatever it is, I do think the Arirang intro is a very smart inclusion and perfect opening for Ryu's song. Original 'One Time' was not my fav song from his collection, but it is now my fav inspirational song.

누구나 개인취향은 있을 수 있지만 '공개적'으로 평가를 하는 일을 업으로 삼는 사람은 적어도 본인의 개취를 편견이란 냄새를 풍길 정도로 드러내선 안되는거 아닌가요? 음악적 평가는 차치하고라도 아리랑의 선율에 인상이 찌푸려진다는 표현은 한국인에게도,그것으로 Ryu가 한국인이라는걸 다시 인식하는 다져스타디움의 팬들에게도 모욕적인 언사입니다.게다가 응원송가사에 오그라든다는 평은 참....씁쓸하군요
