바이브 인터뷰 중 피쳐링 용화 언급 Vibe's comment on Yonghwa's involvement in the album

이번 바이브의 앨범 'Repeat'(리피트)는 '씨엔블루'(CNBLUE)의 정용화, '엑소'(EXO)의 첸, 거미 뿐만 아니라 해외 유명 뮤지션 알 캘리(R.Kelly)가 참여하는 등 화려한 피처링 라인업으로 화제가 되기도 했다. 바이브는 이날 함께 작업한 뮤지션들에 대한 소감을 밝히기도 했다.

"새로운 음악 표현을 해 보고 싶어 다른 뮤지션들과 콜라보레이션을 했어요. 앨범에는 '열정페이', '썸타' 등 신조어가 제목인 곡들이 있어요. 우리 같은 아저씨들이 '썸타'나 '열정페이' 같은 말을 하는 것 보다 젊은세대들이 불러주는 게 좋다고 생각했어요."(류재현)

"이질감이 들지 않을까 우려했지만 완성된 곡을 보니 피처링이 잘됐어요. 사실 저희가 표현할 수 없는 부분들이 있었고 그래서 젊은 세대들이 불러주는 게 설득력이 있어 보였죠. '열정페이'의 정용화 씨가 그렇고 '썸타'의 첸 씨가 그랬죠. 이질감 없이 피처링이 곡에 잘 녹아들어서 좋았어요. 저희가 정규앨범만 고집했었는데, 이제 다른 아티스트들과의 콜라보레이션을 자주 해 보고 싶어요."(윤민수)

"We collaborated with other musicians because we wanted to try new musical expressions. We have tracks in our album that have neologisms such as "Passion Wage" and "Some Ta". Instead of old men like us, I thought it was better to have the younger generation sing it for us." (Ryu Jaehyun)

"We were concerned whether they may feel alienated, but listening to the completed song, I feel the features were done well. There were parts that we couldn't express, so it was persuasive to have the younger generation sing them. Jung Yonghwa-ssi in 'Passion Wage' and Chen-ssi in 'Some Ta' were such examples. I really liked that their features were well incorporated into the songs. We had insisted on full albums until now, but we want to try more collaborations with other artists from now on."
