[오리콘 Oricon] 씨엔블루, 3년만의 두번째 1위! CNBLUE's Album Tops Chart in 3 Years
한국출신의 4인조 밴드 씨엔블루가 1년만에 낸 4번째 앨범 "colors" (9월 30일 발매)가 3.1만매 판매되며 10월 12일자 주간 앨범 랭킹에서 1위로 첫등장. 앨범 1위는 2012년 9/10자에 기록된 일본 데뷔앨범 "CODE NAME BLUE"이래 3년 1개월만으로, 통틀어 2번째가 된다.
이번 앨범은 타이틀에 따라 수록곡 각각이 "색깔"이라는 테마에 맞춰 만들어졌다. 이번 앨범과 함께, 11월 3일 나가노 빅햇에서 시작으로 12월 3일 도쿄 일본 부도칸까지 전국 5개도시 9개공연으로 이루어지는 전국투어가 예정되어 있다.
Korean 4-piece band CNBLUE made their first appearance on the weekly album ranking (10/12) with their 4th album "colors" (9/30) , released after a year. Topping the chart by selling more than 31,000 copies, the first place on the album chart comes in 3 years and 1 month since their Japan debut album "CODE NAME BLUE" on Sept. 10, 2012, marking their second time.
In accordance with the album's title, each song was was created with the thematic "color" in mind. With this album, they are scheduled to begin a national tour starting at Nagano Big Hat on Nov. 3 and ending at Tokyo Budokan on Dec. 3, consisting of 9 shows that span 5 cities.

今作はタイトルにちなみ、収録曲それぞれが“色”をテーマに制作された。本作を引っ提げ、11月3日の長野ビッグハットから12月3日の東京・日本武道館まで全国5都市9公演の全国ツアー開催が決定している。

Congrats YH and CNBLUE !! However the sales are quite low (their lowest ever for the 1st week, if my memory serves me right) compared to their previous releases in Japan. Releasing 2 full albums in Korea and Japan within a couple of weeks was never a good move, marketing wise or otherwise; Some fans can't afford to buy 2 albums within such a short period of time. Besides, YH himself said he's burned out by producing 2 full albums simultaneously! And then the less than pleasing cover art for Colors. Also the tragically low digital ranks of Cinderella..... Sigh!
Seriously, when will FNC get their act together and start doing things the right way for a change??!! YH and CNBLUE are too good be messed up this way.
Sorry for ranting; I'm just a concerned fan and I've got nowhere else to voice my frustrations. Wish I could talk to FNC but I can't read/write Hangul.
PS: If anyone feels I'm being too negative, ignore me :) I just want to see YH living his dream of CNBLUE becoming the 'grandpa' band and his own composition topping Billboard Hot 100! Let's keep our hopes and spirits up for YH :) -
Actually that's not correct. White sold 25,999 the first week, which means colors has rebounded (if a little bit).
I agree tho that releasing 2 albums simultaneous is a very bad business decision as well as heavily taxing for the artist (considering he had another full album out early this year). And as expected, FNC couldn't exactly pull of that kind of promo effectively. Must be their yearly contract with the Japanese label and other things that resulted in this mess of a promo cycle....

In my opinion FNC is more guilty, even they have a clause with their Japanese management company because FNC is their "home company" they should knew about it... More than that, the Japanese date, as I remember was first announced to the public and anyway CNBLUE had each year an album during late summer- early autumn in Japan...
In addition, I really blame FNC for the 2 official MVs of Cinderella:
- first, the "non - official" MV is much easy to find if you only search on Youtube - as the majority of users do;
- as they didn't remove the CJEM' MV or/and they didn't solve the SEO (search engine optimization) for the official one, why they didn't consider to count for music shows the both of them???
It's a pity as both albums are really great, very pleasant to listen to and moreover, Yonghwa worked really hard to compose and produce them!

I agree with you that it's poor planning on FNC for releasing 2 full albums so close to each other and having close to zero promotion for both especially Colors. However I am happy that they released a full album and not several mini albums and then later on packaging the minis into a full album. It's this strategy that cause some fans tohold off buying their albums bcos as a consumer, I feel cheated that I pay so much for a mini album and then later on for the full album there may be only 1 or 2 new songs. That's why this time when Colors is released, I'm happy that >90% are new songs.

오오!! 좋은 소식이네요ㅎㅎ 슈퍼노바 앨범 정말 좋아요ㅠㅠ 올해만 앨범이 3개라서 더구나 디비디랑 앨범 다른버전들까지 하면 아마 10개가 넘을텐데...그런 상황에서도 좋은 소식 들려서 기쁘네요..ㅎㅎ 다음에는 좀 텀들 두고 나오게 해주면 좋을 것 같아요ㅜㅜ
