【E】[Mfound!] CNBLUE, 싱글 발매 이벤트에서 크리스마스 선물! Christmas Present at CNBLUE's Single Release Event!

On Dec. 23, a four-piece band with twin guitars and vocals, CNBLUE from Korea held a release event for their fourth single "Robot", released on Dec. 19. They major-debuted with "In My Head" in Oct. 2011 and their first major album "Code Name Blue" had ranked top on the Oricon Weekly Chart. 

The concert hall was filled with 1,500 lucky fans (3,000 including both day and night shows) who couldn't wait for the show to start. The audience were chosen from a lucky draw among those who purchased the "Robot" single. 

The show started as the four appeared with light shining behind them and the screaming crowd set the hall on fire. At the first ever performance of "Robot", the venue turned into a livehouse at once. 

Following their greeting, "Hello, this is CNBLUE. It's been a while since we had a standing show, and it's great! We hope to have a nice time with you!" they continued with "Get Away", "The Way Part1~one time~", and "Where you are".

"It's blazing hot even though it's winter. It feels like a livehouse." They heated up the hall furthermore with "Time is over" and "In My Head". The live show ended as everyone became one, at the climax.

Then they move on to the talk portion. As the members unexpectedly appeared in Santa Claus costumes, the audience responded with loud applause. 

On the memory of last Christmas, Jonghyun revealed that he was working on a song. "Our schedule was suddenly canceled, but I couldn't meet anyone because they already had plans. So I wrote a song. The song I made back then was 'No More', included in our first album," he said.

When other members couldn't seem to recall, saying "I can't remember," JH said, "They all slept! We have packed schedules so whenever we have time everyone sleeps right away."

On their ideal Christmas, each responded: "I want to visit Jeju Island (JS)",  "I want to meet Santa (JH)", "I want to travel with my friends from hometown (YH)", "I want to go somewhere warm(MH)".

While talking about Christmas songs, the members improvised a nice a cappella cover of "Last Christmas" by Wham, filling the hall with warm atmosphere.

Released on Dec 19, "Robot" is a song written by Yong Hwa (guitar, vocals) with cynical lyrics and CNBLUE-esque rock sound. "When I was writing the song, the members were all busy. They looked like robots, not humans, so it became my inspiration when writing the song," he explained.

With a lottery draw, the release event that was like CNBLUE's Christmas present to fans, ended in great success.
