지난 27일 다저스타디움에서 열린 '한국의 밤' 행사를 빛낸 두 명의 K팝 스타가 있다. 애국가를 부른 그룹 씨엔블루의 정용화와 미국 국가를 부른 실력파 가수 알리다. 두 사람은 멋진 가창력으로 경기장을 채운 5만 관중들에게 큰 갈채를 받는가 하면 류현진·박찬호 선수와 반갑게 인사를 나누며 훈훈한 장면을 연출하기도 했다.

정용화 "대한민국의 힘을 느꼈다"

"대한민국의 힘을 느낄 수 있었습니다. 정말 감격스러워요."

다저스타디움 그라운드에 선 정용화는 시종 믿기지 않는다는 듯 흥분된 표정을 감추지 못했다. 평소 야구팬이기도 한 그는 이날 행사에 앞서 류현진 선수가 선발등판해 승리한 26일 경기도 관람했다며 남다른 '야구 열정'도 자랑스레 드러냈다. 류현진 선수의 경기를 직접 보니 "한 번 한 번 던질때마다 소름이 끼쳤다"는 소감도 잊지 않았다.

"경기장에 직접 와서 보면 제가 응원하는 팀이 꼭 이겨요. 류현진 선수도 멋진 경기 내용으로 이겨주셔서 기분이 정말 좋았어요. 더 자주 와서 응원하고 싶은 마음도 들었고요."

그는 한국을 대표해 다저스타디움에서 애국가를 부르는 느낌을 한마디로 '소름끼친다'고 표현했다.

"엄청난 영광이죠. 이렇게 많은 관중들 앞에서 '한국의 날' 행사가 열리는 걸 보니 울컥하는 기분까지 드네요. 초청해 주셔서 진심으로 감사합니다."

정용화는 류현진 선수를 향한 진심이 담긴 응원의 메세지도 전했다.

"자랑스럽고 감사합니다. 앞으로도 좋은 성적 기대할게요. 류현진 선수 화이팅!"

Two Kpop stars graced the 'Korea Night' event at the Dodger Stadium on May 27th. They are group CNBLUE's Jung Yonghwa who sang Aegukka and talented singer Ali who sang the US national anthem. Both of them drew applause from the 50,000 audience with their great vocals, and also showed their friendly interaction with Ryu Hyunjin and Chanho Park.

"I was able to feel the strength of Korea. I'm truly moved."

Jung Yonghwa, standing at the Dodger Stadium ground, could not hide his excited face as if he couldn't believe this is happening. He proudly expressed his "passion for baseball", saying that he also watched the game on the 26th where Ryu pitched and won. He didn't forget to add that while watching Ryu's game in person, "I got goosebumps every time he threw each ball."

"When I go and watch sports games in person, the team I root for always wins. It felt really great because Ryu Hyunjin played such a good game and won. I felt like coming here often to support him."

He described the feeling of representing Korea and singing the national anthem as "having goosebumps."

"It is such a great honor. Witnessing 'Korea Night' in front of so many audience makes me almost emotional. I'm truly grateful for being invited."

Jung Yonghwa also remarked his hearty message of support for Ryu Hyunjin.

"I'm so proud of you, and thank you. I'll be anticipating more great games. Ryu Hyunjin, fighting!"
