Band CNBLUE is set to release their 6th mini album, “Blueming”.
“Blueming” is a compound word made of “CNBLUE” and “blooming,” which signifies the new flowering of CNBLUE’s musical world. To fit the album’s title, the new album is filled with cheerful songs that go well with spring.
The title track “You’re So Fine” is Jung Yonghwa’s composition that boasts fancy brass sounds. Filled with sweet lyrics that sing as if talking to a girlfriend such as “You’re so fine / I’m even more amazed at your personality” “Though you always say you’ve gained weight / Don’t worry about that / You’re a bit too greedy baby,” the song makes one’s heart flutter.
In addition, songs written and composed by Lee Jonghyun and Lee Jungshin, ’The Seasons’ and ‘Without You’, and more make up the 5 tracks in the album that present CNBLUE members’ sweet and upbeat melodies of the spring.
CNBLUE’s promotions come 7 months after their second full album “2gether”. They had showcased endlessly progressing band sound, and with this title track ‘You’re so fine,’ they will establish themselves as the “men of spring.”

Jung Yonghwa composed, wrote lyrics, and also participated in arrangement of the title track ‘You’re so fine’, is an upbeat pop rock that adds fancy brass on top of funky beats and bass. The lyrics resemble a conversation, added with short and sweet narration by Jung completed into a feel-good melody of spring. Praising a woman who’s beautiful the more he sees her, it makes one feel the sweet, cheerful spring presented by CNBLUE.

“The Seasons” is Lee Jonghyun’s composition, with an impressive intro that begins with rhythmical guitar and piano melodies. The beginning and the ending of romance is likened to the four seasons. With acoustic guitar in shuffle rhythm and simple instrumentals, the upbeat song fits the sentiment of the spring.

Composed by Jung Yonghwa, the song centers around the snare sound that leads the entire track. A dreamy atmosphere is expressed through addition of each instrument’s reversed sounds. The members’ ensemble vocals at the latter part of the song and the arrangement that resembles British pop generates comfortable, heart-warming music.
4. Without you [Lyrics: Lee Jungshin, Kim Jaeyang / Music: Lee Jungshin, Han Seunghun / Arrange: Ko Jinyoung]
Composed and written by Lee Jungshin, Without You is a rock ballad of wistful melody that harmonizes string and piano. The lyrics express the feeling of breakup, “I can’t go on without you / I can’t be without you,” in a heartbroken band sound.
5. Stay sober [Lyrics: Jung Yonghwa, Innovator / Music: Jung Yonghwa / Arrangement: Kim Jaeyang, Park Hyunwoo]
‘Stay Sober’ is composed and written by Jung Yonghwa, one of the tracks in 9th Japan single “White”. The chorus is filled with Jung Yonghwa’s captivating voice. It embodies the desperate heart of someone who wants his loved one to remember him.
