세계 캐리커처 공모전 열린다

 

 

(서울=연합뉴스) 박인영 기자 = 세계 캐리커처 작가 누구나 참여할 수 있는 '세계 캐리커처 공모전'이 오는 5월 1일부터 15일까지 진행된다.

캐리커처 작가들이 1989년 미국에서 창설한 비영리 협회인 국제 캐리커처 작가협회(ISCA)가 진행하는 이번 공모전의 주제는 '한국인이 좋아하는 한국인, 세계인 100인'이다.

참가 작품은 재료에 제한 없이 캐리커처 평면 작품이면 되며 크기는 A3(29.7×42㎝), 500dpi(JPG), CMYK 형식으로 작가별로 최대 2점까지 출품할 수 있다.

작품의 소재가 될 '100인 명단'은 공식홈페이지(www.caricatureinkorea.com)에서 확인하면 된다.

조사를 통해 선정된 100인 명단에는 박근혜 대통령, 박원순 서울시장, 이건희 삼성전자 회장, 싸이, 빅뱅, 김연아, 박지성 등 한국인과 버락 오바마 미국 대통령, 비욘세, 히딩크, 교황 프란치스코 등 외국인들이 포함됐다.

캐리커처를 사랑하는 세계인 누구나 참가할 수 있으며 5월 1일부터 15일까지 작품을 지정 웹하드로 접수하면 된다(홈페이지 참조).

1차 전시작은 6월 1일 인터넷에 공고하고 이메일로도 개별 통보한다.

출품작 중 심사를 거쳐 대상 수상작에는 미화 5천달러, 금상에는 3천달러, 동상은 1천달러의 상금과 상패를 수여하고 관객이 뽑은 베스트 10 작품도 시상한다.

선택된 작품은 오는 6월 27일부터 세종문화회관 미술관에서 전시된다.

Worldwide caricature contest to be held

From May 1st to 15th, "World Caricature Contest" will be held, open to any caricaturists in the world. Conducted by ISCA (International Society of Caricature Artists), a non-profit association established in 1989 by American caricaturists, the theme of this contest is "100 People in Korea and Worldwide that Koreans Love."

There is no limit on materials to be used for the submission, as long as the size is A3(29.7×42㎝), 500dpi(JPG), CMYK. Each artist may submit up to 2 works.

The list of 100 people who will be the subject of their works can be found at their website, www.caricatureinkorea.com. Selected based on survey, the list includes Koreans such as Pres. PKH, Seoul Mayor PWS, Pres. of Samsung Electronics, Psy, Big Bang, Kim Yuna, and PJS, as well as foreigners like Pres. Barack Obama, Beyonce, Hiddink, and Pope Francis.

Anyone who loves caricature may enter by uploading their works to the designated webhard on official website between May 1 and May 15.

The first selection of exhibits will be posted on the internet on June 1 and also told by email.

After evaluation, the artist of grand prix will receive $5,000 (USD), second prize and third prize will receive $3,000 and $1,000 respectively. The top 10 picks by viewers will also be given prizes.

Selected artworks will be exhibited at Sejong Center starting on June 27.
