그러나 언제부턴가 한지에 먹물 스며들 듯이 방송 속 사투리의 위상이 달라지지 시작했다.

기억을 되짚어 보면 예능 프로그램에서 사투리가 달리 받아들여지기 시작한 시기는 2010년경일 게다. 2010년 MBC <우리 결혼했어요>에서 부산 출신 연예인 정용화가 리얼리티 프로그램 기획의도에 걸맞게 경상도 사투리를 사용했었다. 주로 방송인 강호동, 이경규 등 기센 캐릭터들이 써오던 경상도 말씨를 가수이자 연기자인 정용화가 사용하니 훈훈하게 느껴졌던 것이다. KBS <출발 드림팀 2>에서 컨디션 괜찮으냐는 질문을 받고는 ‘괘안습니다’하고 외치더니 나직한 음성으로 ‘가보자!’, 한 마디 툭 던지는데 그게 또 그렇게 매력적일 수가 없었다.

However, since a certain point in time, the prestige of regional dialects on TV gradually changed.

Thinking back, dialects started to be seen in a new light on variety shows around 2010. On MBC's "We Got Married" in 2010, Jung Yonghwa, a celebrity from Busan, used Gyeongsang Province's dialect in line with the reality show's intended style. Previously, Gyeongsang dialect had been used by tough personalities like Kang Hodong and Lee Gyeonggyu. But when this singer and actor Jung Yonghwa used it, it sounded so sweet. On KBS2 "Let's Go! Dream Team," when asked about his physical condition, he said "Gwaeanseupnida (I'm all right)," then shortly in a deep voice, "let's give it a go." It couldn't sound any more attractive.
