은련카드 모델 발탁 확정 소식(!?) Yonghwa selected to endorse Unionpay(!?)
상장 관련 기자간담회 기사( http://view.asiae.co.kr/news/view.htm?idxno=2014111813475824442 ) 에서 발췌:
한 대표는 "현재는 일본 시장이 크지만 앞으로는 중화권 시장이 더 커질 것"이라며 "...정용화 군이 최근 중국 일련카드 모델로 발탁됐는데 향후 내년 매출 중 중국 쪽을 확장할 계획"이라고 강조했다.
President Han emphasized, "Although the Japanese market is big now, the Chinese market will become bigger in the future...Recently, Jung Yonghwa was chosen to endorse the Chinese 'illyeon' credit card. We will expand our Chinese sales next year." (Article mostly about FNC's press conference for their IPO)

*It's confusing because the reporters didn't write the Korean name for Unionpay, which is 'Eunryun' not 'illyeon', and 'illyeon' is just a common word meaning "a line of things." I think HSH was trying to use the Chinese pronunciation but ended up failing to have the reporters recognize the brand, which is actually operating in Korea in a partnership with BC Card.....epic fail again...

ah so he's not just endorsing it in China? although that's extremely impressive too since the chinese market is much bigger.

It's definitely big bucks for FNC when an artist is chosen to endorse a product for the China market, and I am happy that Yong Hwa is the chosen one.

Another HSH fail! Unionpay is HUGE in China. It is like Visa or Mastercard and almost all credit cards issued here use Unionpay.

LOL at the fail. But still at least it's confirmation that the CF is for the credit card? I am really waiting for it!

I would add that UnionPay is THE Visa/MasterCard of China and it is recognized globally, not only in China. Yonghwa's popularity in China would only go up, up, up if this CF is confirmed. Jackpot!
