【한】 Emperor Entertainment’s 250 Million Dollars 4D Movie, Nicolas Tse and CNBLUE All In 엠페러(EEG) 엔터의 2억5천만 위안 4D영화에 사정봉, 씨엔블루 올인하다

With the success of Chef Nic Seasons 1 and 2 in mainland China, Nicolas Tse’s warm guy-chef image has deeply impressed the viewers. He is now in Africa filming Season 3. But the best is yet to come in April. Emperor Entertainment Beijing has decided to invest 250 million RMB on a 4D movie, Gourmet’s Battles, tailor-made for Nicolas. They have also invited a member from the popular Korean group CNBLUE to “have acting battles” with him in the movie. Nicolas’s company PO (Full name: Post Production Office) will use Hollywoods’ newest technology to make the movie the best experiences for all the senses.

Emperor Entertainment Beijing’s paramount production this year is a 4D movie titled Gourmets’ Battles, with Mani Fok as the executive producer and Raymond Yip as the director. The script has been tailor-made for Nicolas Tse who will partner with a very solid cast. In the movie, Nicolas Tse will challenge a world class gourmet, played by one of the members of the popular Korean group, CNBLUE. The speculated member is the leader of the group, Jung Yong Hwa. Yonghwa shot to fame in 2009 with (the Korean drama) You’re Beautiful and the band’s popularity soared throughout Asia right after. According to sources, CNBLUE’s management agency CJ E&M have been filling their schedules every year with concert tours, which are also the main source of income for CNBLUE. They have not arranged for individual members to film movies which require more time, as a member working outside the band will affect the other members’ work schedules and therefore income. That is why Yonghwa has not entered the movie industry all these years. The agency did not want to change the arrangement until they encountered this project proposed by Emperor Entertainment. To invite Yonghwa to join them, Empire Entertainment Beijing offered a handsome pay, and impressed his agency with the solid cast, a very experienced production team as well as a huge budget. His agency finally decided to sign this movie contract.

(Note: It's likely the main actors are playing chefs but I directly translate 食神 as "gourmet". There's a korean comic about chefs with a movie and drama adaptation all named "Gourmet". Maybe "gourmet" means more than "chefs" in these scenarios.)

중국 본토에서 ‘셰프 닉’ 시즌 1과 2가 성공하면서, 니콜라스 츠 (사정봉)의 훈남 셰프 이미지는 시청자들에게 깊이 각인되었다. 그는 현재 아프리카에서 시즌 3를 찍고 있지만, 더 대단한 프로젝트는 4월에 예정되어 있다. EEG 엔터테인먼트 베이징은 사정봉을 위한 맞춤 4D영화 “결전식신”에 2억5천위안을 투자하기로 결정하였다. 제작사는 또한 그와 ‘연기결전’을 펼칠 인기 한국 그룹 씨엔블루의 멤버를 초대하였다. 사정봉의 소속사 PO는 헐리우드의 최신 기술을 사용하여 모든 감각에 최고의 경험을 전하겠다고 밝혔다.

EEG 엔터 베이징이 올해 제작하는 영화는 “결전식신”이라는 4D영화로, Mani Fok가 총괄 제작자를, Raymond Yip이 감독을 맡는다. 시나리오는 사정봉 맞춤으로, 쟁쟁한 캐스팅과 함께한다. 영화에서 사정봉은 세계 수준의 셰프에게 도전하는데, 이 셰프를 인기 한국 그룹 씨엔블루의 멤버가 맡는다. 예상되는 멤버는 그룹의 리더 정용화이다. 정용화는 2009년 한국 드라마 “미남이시네요”로 인기를 얻으며 알려졌고, 직후 그의 밴드 씨엔블루 역시 아시아 전역에서 인기가 치솟았다. 관계자들에 따르면, 씨엔블루의 에이전시 CJE&M (역자 주:  투어 담당 에이전시라 와전된 듯)은 매년 그룹의 주 수입원인 콘서트로 스케줄을 채워왔다. (소속사는) 영화 촬영에는 상당한 시간이 소요되고, 한 멤버의 밴드 외 활동이 다른 멤버들의 스케줄과 수입에 영향을 미치기 때문에 그동안 멤버들의 개인활동으로 영화 진출을 꺼려왔다. 이 때문에 지금까지 정용화의 영화계 진출이 미루어졌고, 소속사 역시 이러한 상황을 유지할 예정이었으나 EEG 엔터가 건넨 이번 제의에 마음을 바꾸었다고 한다. 용화의 영화 참여를 위해, EEG 엔터는 높은 개런티와 탄탄한 배우진, 또한 경험 많은 제작진과 대규모 제작비를 제시했다. 결국 그의 소속사는 영화 계약서에 서명하게 되었다고.
