【E】‘나인’ 팀이 다시 뭉쳐 새 드라마 ‘삼총사’ 만든다 The Creators of 'Nine' Will Reunite for 'Three Musketeers'

...특히 ‘삼총사’는 스토리뿐만 아니라 ‘계획된 시즌제’ 드라마라는 점에서 새로운 시도가 돋보인다. 12개 에피소드씩, 총 세 시즌으로 제작될 예정이다. ‘삼총사’를 담당하는 CJ E&M의 김영규 CP는 “‘계획된 시즌제’는 기존의 드라마 제작에 패러다임을 바꾸고, 다양한 드라마 기획들이 탄생될 수 있는 새로운 시도가 될 것이다. 기존 관행을 깨는 제작시스템으로 완성도 높은 색다른 드라마를 선보이겠다”고 전했다.
이어 김 CP는 “기획단계에서 큼직한 세 개의 이야기 구성을 짜놨으며, 이에 따라 두 번째 시즌은 스토리상 중국에서의 로케이션 촬영을 검토하고 있다. 배우들 역시 세 개의 시즌을 모두 함께 할 예정이다”고 전하며, “첫 번째 시즌은 오는 8월 방송을 목표로 준비 중에 있다. 조만간 캐스팅을 확정 지을 예정이고, 오는 6월 크랭크인에 들어갈 계획이다”고 덧붙였다.

CP Kim Younggyu of CJ E&M in charge of 'Three Musketeers' expressed, "This 'planned season system' will change the paradigm of existing drama production, a new endeavor that will become the foundation for the planning of diverse dramas. By dismantling the current practice, we will showcase a different, new high-quality drama."
CP KYG added, "At the planning stages, we have created three large storylines. For the second season, we are considering filming it in China. We will go with the same actors through all three seasons. The first season is being prepared with the broadcast date in August. We will soon confirm the casting, and begin filming in June."

This sounds like a major production if it happens and taken in light with YH's recent interview during his Shu Uemuru interview where he mentioned filming in China, it sounds like there is a high probability that it will materialise. But I won't hold my breath until I see him actually start filming. However I am really excited for this new challenge.

This is what I'm most excited about - the writer/director team has produced critically acclaimed work and it's TvN which means it's produced in advance (which leads to a more coherent story, usually). Fingers crossed!
