Interview with JYH, It's Good It's Good It's Good

It was his HK concert in 2015 when I met JYH last time. The interview time back then was an extremely big parade, with a bunch of Korean staff surrounding him rejecting questions from reporters, saying "you can't ask this.. he won't answer that". The interview was conducted under a high tension throughout. This time, however, when he comes for the promotions of Cook Up A Storm, it's a completely different story (probably because it's not in charged by his agency). With no one trying to interfere, YH is obviously in a good mood and keeps saying "it's good it's good~ it's good it's good~". This interview is indeed very good~

Do you still remember the K-drama You're Beautiful in 2009? It was one of the very first stimulator for the spread of Korean Wave in HK, and also the first drama by YH which was extremely popular back then. Though he focused on the development of his singing career thereafter, as the leader of CNBLUE, he starred in K-drama about once per year and made guest appearance in variety shows. Never thought it would take 8 years for him to star in a movie. "Since it's my first time to portray a chef, I think it would be a challenge." According to most sources on the web, YH cannot cook at all. When we ask him, he smiles with a puzzled look, "Why do all these people think I cannot cook at all? Haha. How come?" In the movie, YH has to cook in kind of a kung-fu style. "In fact, it is all these action scenes that were the most difficult. Haha."

So, YH is not that bad at cooking. It's just that he wasn't interested, and he's not particularly demanding or knowledgeable on food too. Labeling himself as a foodie, he's all happy as long as there's meat. "I'm a meat lover who eats a lot of meat. To me, anyone who is capable of making a delicate steak could be the "God of Cookery" already." But after filming Cook Up A Storm with Nic, having tasted all the delicacies Nic made on set every day, his interest in cooking arises and he is now very good at making pasta.

YH's role in the movie is named Paul Ahn, a Michelin-starred chef who is determined to build his own empire of delicacy in China. Paul then met Nic, a very local chef from a small neighborhood store Seven, and this kicks off the battle between the two. It happens that Nic is known in Korea because of his appearance in Lady Bees, a reality show on cultivation of girl groups co-produced by a Mainland tv channel and the CJ group from Korea. He even visited Korea for a training. "I used to think Nic was quite cool, but I realize he is completely different from what I thought during our filming. He teaches me so many things, like an elder brother." It's such a pity that the two didn't get the chance to talk about music when they were filming. Otherwise it will attract much attention if the two can do some jam sessions together, and all fans of Nic and YH will be saying, "it's good it's good it's good it's good it's good it's good it's good~"

專訪鄭容和 好呀好呀好呀

上一次見鄭容和，是2015年他來香港開演唱會。訪問時十級大陣仗，一堆韓國工作人員在他身邊，這樣不能問，那題他不答，結果大家在緊張氣氛下完成訪問。這回他來香港宣傳電影《決戰食神》，竟然變了另一回事（應該因為不是唱片公司負責），沒有人阻撓，容和也心情大好，不停說「好呀好呀～好呀好呀～」，這次訪問，真的好呀～

大家還記得09年的韓劇《原來是美男》嗎？是韓流入侵香港的元祖推手之一，也是容和第一套劇集，當年極受歡迎。雖然之後他專心發展歌唱事業，作為CNBlue隊長，他差不多每年拍一套劇，還參加綜藝節目，想不到拍電影，卻是8年後的事。「因為我以前從來沒有試過演廚師，覺得這套戲應該會是一種挑戰。」網上很多報導一直說容和不懂下煮，問他時他笑笑口，露出一個疑惑表情，「為甚麼這麼多人說我不懂煮嘢食？哈哈，到底點解會咁？」片中容和更要邊煮食邊耍少少功夫，「其實這些動作先最難嘛，哈哈。」

嗱嗱嗱，其實容和煮嘢食不是這麼差，只是以前沒有興趣而己，而且他本身對食沒有甚麼特別要求與研究。自認是「吃貨」的他，只要有肉就最開心，「我是食肉獸，要食好多肉，所謂『食神』同我來說只要識煎塊靚牛扒就夠。」。但跟霆鋒拍完《決戰食神》，日日在片場食霆鋒好手藝，興趣就自然來了，現時最拿手的是煮意粉。

片中容和的角色叫安保羅，是米芝蓮星級廚師，一心要到中國發展他的美食王國，但遇上街坊小店七記地踎大廚霆鋒，二人是一決高下。話說霆鋒在韓國都頗有知名度，因為他曾經拍攝女團養成真人騷《蜜蜂少女隊》，由內地電視台與韓國CJ 個合拍，而且去過韓國集訓。「以前覺得霆鋒比較cool，但拍戲時就知道他完全不是這樣，更教了我很多東西，好似哥哥一樣。」可惜是二人在片場沒時間就音樂交流，否則一齊jam歌，應該好有睇頭，所有霆鋒同容和fans都會答句：「好呀好呀好呀好呀好呀好呀好呀～」
