Hello, everybody! I’m Jung Yong Hwa.

Q: What’s your role in “Cook Up A Storm”?
YH: My character is Paul Ahn, a Michelin 3-star chef. I was a chef in France, but I went to China to start my own business. I hoped to open my dreamed Michelin restaurant.

Q: You’re a renowned chef in the movie. Do you like cooking in real life?
YH: The truth is I couldn’t cook. I actually didn’t care about cooking at all. But in order to play the chef role well, I worked very hard. I began with practicing knife skills, then the cooking itself. After filming the movie, I’ve cultivated this interest in cooking. Now I cook for myself occasionally. It’s like I’m a born cook. Ha ha ha.  

Q: Has your Cantonese improved with the movie filming this time?
YH: In Cantonese: Have you eaten? The director always said it with this tone. “Have you eaten?” “Knock off.” “Awesome.” “Good. Good.” And I discovered they always end the sentence with “ar” speaking Cantonese.

YH: I hope everybody will like this movie. I, the other actors, the director and all the crew members were so diligent filming the movie. I hope you will all anticipate our product. It’s absolutely a great movie. I wish you a very happy new year. Thank you.
