【E】 정용화, “덧니 교정해 연기 캐릭터 넓힐 것” JYH, "I'll get Orthodontic Correction to Widen Range of Acting"

정용화가 치아 교정 계획을 밝혔다.

정용화는 최근 텐아시아와 만난 자리에서 “데뷔 시절 매력포인트롤 ‘덧니’라고 쓴 것은 소속사가 쓴 것일 것”이라며 자신의 덧니에 얽힌 비하인드 스토리를 전했다.

데뷔 당시 정용화는 자신의 프로필에 매력포인트로 덧니를 쓴 바 있다. 정용화는 치아 교정 계획을 밝히며 덧니를 없앨 것이라 선언했다. 그는 “나는 교정을 하고 싶다”며 “덧니에 대한 호불호가 있는데 덧니를 교정하면 연기할 수 있는 캐릭터도 많아질 것이고, 미래를 위해 하는 게 나을 것 같다”고 전했다.

Jung Yonghwa, in a recent interview with TenAsia, said "I think the part about my snaggletooth being a charming point during my debut days is probably written by the agency."

When he debuted, JYH had written that his charming point is the snaggletooth. JYH announced his plans to fix his teeth and get rid of the snaggletooth. He said, "I want to get orthodontic correction. Some people aren't quite fond of my snaggletooth. Once I correct it, I'll have more versatility in choosing characters to act. I think it's better for my future to get it done."

    i hope no...i don't get their strict standards of beauty...i don't wan't him to fix his teeth just to please those drama people, but it's his choice at the end T T

    I've always loved his snaggletooth TT His smile won't be the same without it TT But i will support YH's decision if he thinks it will be best for him..

    I love his cute tooth but I do understand that it is very difficult to brush and maintain. I'll support whatever he wants but if he really does it, I will miss that cute smile.

    Scared that his whole face will change. I thought that one day YH might feel the pressure to straighten his teeth. Most actors in dramas have those perfect straight white teeth. I love his smile the most. How I wish YH can just concentrate on singing rather than acting so that he doesn't need to do this. Gonna support him no matter what. Feels sad already.

    Many people say they wish YH can just concentrate on singing rather than acting, but I'd like to point them to YH's own words. He's said he likes acting, many times. He also explained how acting experiences have enriched his music writing and performance.

    I witnessed how the three months of filming "Heartstrings" day and night had produced a very expressive Yonghwa on stage. He was almost a new singer right after HS, as seen in a Kpop concert in Japan in August, as well as another Kpop show in Hong Kong right after. He even composed three great songs during those three months.

    I agree that he's at his best doing music, but he does have the potential as an actor. How he tricked me to be a quiet person playing Shinwoo hyung! He was able to convince the viewers already with his debut drama.
