배우 겸 가수 정용화가 김은숙 작가의 신작 ‘상속자들’ 출연을 정중히 고사했다.
정용화 소속사 FNC 엔터테인먼트 측은 26일 “정용화가 물망에 올랐던 SBS ‘왕관을 쓰려는 자, 그 무게를 견뎌라-상속자들’(이하 상속자들)의 출연을 고사하기로 했다”고 전했다.
정용화의 고사 배경은 제작사와 소속사의 캐릭터에 대한 이견을 좁히지 못한 것으로 알려졌다. 드라마 제작사 측에서도 정용화 측의 결정을 대승적 차원에서 존중하면서 양측은 원만하게 합의에 이르렀다.
소속사 측은 “정용화는 일단 월드투어를 비롯한 하반기 예정된 씨엔블루의 음반작업 에 전념할 계획이다. 또한 많은 작품에서 출연 제의를 받은 상황이라 다른 차기작을 검토 중이며 곧 좋은 연기로 찾아갈 것”이라고 말했다.
‘미남이시네요’‘넌 내게 반했어’등에 출연하며 연기력을 인정 받은 정용화는 주연급으로 급성장했다. 최근에는 작곡, 프로듀싱 등 활발한 음악 작업으로 다방면에서 실력을 인정받았다.
정용화가 속한 씨엔블루는 현재 ‘2013 월드투어 블루문’을 진행 중이다.

It's a pity that he will miss the opportunity to work with such a well respected writer and director, but on the other hand, I am kind of happy that maybe he take on another project instead of working with the same actress again (I love her, but 3 times is a little too often). I'd rather wait patiently for his next drama then for him to squeeze in time to do one now. He deserves to enjoy filming his dramas and not always be under time constraint.

Was sad for just a moment because that means I won't get to see more of him unless it's in the BM concerts. Overall, I'm fine and will support him in whatever decision.

I hate to be too frank; not all stupid things said by the crazy company are usually translated by fans. Looks like they said something offensive to the other party in other articles . . .
What I worry most is YH's reputation. I couldn't care less about anything else.

Nah, You dont have to apologize. I know how fnc can screw up. Just that since I can't read Korean and don't know the extent of the damage in Korea, I'm choosing to look at the positive side and not speculate and let things like these get me down. Btw, I'm choosing to ignore the nb comments too. End of the day, I'll support YH and trust that he's positive and strong enough to overcome this.

캐스팅 결정에도 고사에도 용화의 말은 전혀 읽을수가 없네요. ㅠㅠ 이 소속사 또 용화에게 뭔짓을 한걸까요? 저런식의 고사는 드라마판에서 인상만 나빠ㅣ질텐데ㅠㅠ

If this is a disappointing outcome for many people, I think it's worst for him. For him to back out of a role must really be awfully painful to him. Based on the translation, it seems like he is doing it to "protect" both sides since they (his agency & the production company) can't see eye to eye. That again speaks of his wonderful character & he often does what is best for others, even at his own expense. People who genuinely appreciate him will continue to do so & those who are "passer-by" will leave anyway at some point in time, so no loss to Yong. I hope YongYong will choose what is best for himself, not only for others. He is still my favourite singer/musician, actor & mc.
