Q. 녹스에게 영향을 준 뮤지션은 누가 있나요? 팀이어도 좋고, 각자 얘기해주셔도 좋아요.

상언- 저는 이거 인터뷰가 나가면 욕하시는 분들 분명히 있을 수도 있는데 씨엔블루나 딕펑스, 데이식스 이런 팀들이에요. 음악이라는 것 자체가 듣는것도 중요하지만 보여지는 것도 중요하다고 생각을 하거든요. 좋은 공연이라는건 음악, 액션, 그런 다양한 것들이 함께하는 거라고 생각을 해요. 씨엔블루도 솔직히 아이돌이라서 밴드로서 인정하지 않는 분들도 많잖아요? 근데 저는 유투브에 씨엔블루를 검색하면 나오는 2시간짜리 콘서트 영상을 제가 다 본 적이 있어요. 공연 정말 잘하고 배울점이 되게 많더라고요. 곡에서 멜로디의 변화라던가, 관객이랑 소통하는 것들은 정말 최고라고 생각해요. 그리고 제가 딕펑스를 너무 좋아해가지고. 보고 배우고 싶어서 이번 앨범도 준비할 때 씨엔블루나 딕펑스를 많이 참고했던 것 같아요.

쉽게 말하면 좀 퍼포먼스적인 요소를 많이 배우고 싶다는 거네요?

Sangeon - If this interview gets published, some people might criticize us, but teams like CNBLUE, DickPunks, and Day6 (influenced me). I believe not only what you hear, but what you see, is also important in music. I think a "good performance" is comprised of music, actions, and various other things. You know how many don't recognize CNBLUE as a band because they're an idol? But I've seen the entire 2-hour concert when I searched CNBLUE's name on youtube. They're really good at performance and we have so many things to learn from them, such as changing melodies within a song. I really think the way they communicate with the audience is top notch. I also like DickPunks a lot. I wanted to watch and learn from them, so while preparing for this album, I referenced a lot from CNBLUE and DickPunks.

To put it simply, you mean you wanna learn from elements of their performance, right?

Right.
