[Can't Stop] 독한 사랑 Cold Love
-
Thanks for the translation.
-
this is my favorite song in the album. thank you for fast translation. the song is even more meaningful
-
thanks for the translation.really love this song first time hear it..such heartbreaking song
-
I hate myself for not being able to appreciate Yonghwa's poetic lyrics direct at times like this. Reading your translation is definitely the next best. Can never thank you enough and am so thankful that you're so good at words yourself.
Sorry to disagree with one of the commenters. No way this is a "fast" translation. -
* I translated it to "cold love" because that's the official English title of the song (and it also sounds more poetic), but '독한' is closer to harsh/severe....in case you wanted to know!
-
It's natural to think Yonghwa provided the English version title himself. I hope they asked him to when they feel the need of an official English title.
But "cold" is suitable too? It's the girl who has changed. She's become cold to him; he's feeling cold.
-
Yes, but the Korean word doesn't have the connotation of coldness.
It's closer to extreme/severe. I feel like "cold", though a much more natural translation, disregards some of those nuisances.
-
I see. "Cold" is too flat a word, too. Thanks for helping us to understand Yonghwa all the time.
-
In that case, I definitely prefer "harsh" to "cold", especially after reading the lyrics (thanks to you!) They should've gone with "harsh", imho.
-
But direct translation isn't always fun.
I like that he used "Cold". It adds another dimension to this song :) -
Hm... I'm not so sure about another dimension, but I'd go with looking at it from a different angle... :)
Cold... harsh... Whatever suits better his vision, I guess. It's fine with me :) -
Thank you SO MUCH! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
This is a cool song. Closer to their previous stuff than everything else on this album, imho, but still gorgeous. Gorgeous melody, very nice lyrics.
I definitely agree with one of the previous comments about not being able to understand this song in its language. I wish I knew it, I wish I knew the culture, etc., 'cause that would enhance my appreciation. No doubt about that. -
felt like this song from Park SeJu for his Mirae >_< esp in the last eps
kamsahabnida for trans this so fast -
어떤 감성을 가졌길래 이런 가사를 쓰는걸까요 참 대단해요
-
Yonghwa is such a genius man!! I ove this song.
-
Really like this song since first time. Thanx for translate ^ ^
-
Thanks for this terrific translation! This love is so……heartbrokenTTTT
-
곡과 가사의 어우러짐이 정말 최고라 생각해요. 완전 좋네요.^^
-
Everything about this song - the melody, vocals, lyrics, - takes my breath away.
-
MY GOODNESS!!! Finally had the time to truly immerse myself in this song and have the leisure time to read and take in his lyrics. This boy just keeps amazing me. The way he writes his lyrics now have become more raw and profound and can pierce through your heart. This is such a heartbreaking song. When I first heard this song without even understanding the words I felt the power of this song. The hurt behind the song and then reading the lyrics......MY GOD!!!! YONG IS TRULY AMAZING!!!
Thank you for the translation. -
진짜 독한 노래입니다
ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ첨듣자마자 나도 모르게 눈물나던 -
Before listening to the song, I can really feel the pain just by reading the lyrics..
OMG it's such a heartbreaking :( -
What experiences, personal or imagined, produce this heartbreak? Makes me think of Tattoo, Just Please, I Don't Know Why, but so much more raw emotions. The most piercing of his lyrics. Thanks for the poetic translations, the translator is amazing just as the original lyricist!
-
Out of the trans i've read this one is the best. Thank you! i really love this song so much, hope they get to promote it.
-
I sometimes wonder how YongHwa could able to write a song that it feels like he experienced so much pain from a break up or what not. But regardless, this is one of my fave songs in the album :)
