-CNBLUE’s “Change,” which shows another signature Yonghwa style. Adding funky elements to Kpop resulted in a very interesting song. It’s in light with Yonghwa’s trademark, cheerful and lively style. Gradually developing the emotions, pausing right before the highlight, and again enters the rhythms, a very explosive song. I thought of them as an idol band before, but listening to the song makes me definitely realize that they’re talented. It’s really awesome!

-CNBLUE’s “Coffee shop,” has much funk feel to it. The rhythm’s very nice and has clear distinctions in dynamics. I was already bobbing my head the moment I first heard it. The dynamics designed in different parts are very smoothly transitioned. The development of emotions is very nice, too. I heard Yonghwa was inspired by coffee shops to write this song, very interesting. The highlight part is quite addicting!

-CNBLUE’s “Wake up” was released in Japan. The layers are clearly distinguished in arrangement, and transition from one part to another are intimate. In the highlight, there’s no gap in pushing forward with the disco rhythm, which strengthens the overall rhythmic flow of the song. It’s very detailed in terms of arrangement structure. I could sense how much effort was put in for the Japanese market. I’m covering their song for a long time now, it’s really awesome. Highly recommended!

-CNBLUE’s “Have a good night”. It was included in the first full album in Japan. Honestly, recording this song was very hard. I’ve recorded many songs, but this song was still difficult. It took me half an hour to really get used to it. I could feel how much care was put into making this album. The arrangement is detailed, each part transitions rationally. Definitely, their skills shouldn’t be underestimated.

-CNBLUE’s “feeling”. It has a very special meaning. It’s in fact Yonghwa’s birthday today. When I first listened to it, I just thought it had a nice melody. Watching the concert version, it reminded me of watching Beyond(*’s concert some ten years ago. Just like the lyrics, it feels like the shooting star is brightening the world again! Yonghwa is talented. It felt just like listening to Huang Jiaju (vocal of Beyond). Happy birthday!

-CNBLUE’s “Run”. Listening to it while watching Running Man, it’s dynamic just like the title. I find it interesting how the progression of the melody is fast, and the drumming of the marching band comprises a big part. I’ve seen Yonghwa’s appearance in RM, he seemed to fly as he runs. I wonder if the inspiration for this song came from shooting RM? It’s a very carefully made work.
