【E】팬텀, 씨엔블루 팬 자처 “음악적 자아-매너 갖춘 호감그룹” Phantom are CNBLUE's fans? "Great Group w/Musical Identity and Good Manners"

[양자영 기자/ 사진 장문선 기자] 그룹 팬텀(키겐, 산체스, 한해)이 씨엔블루에 대한 감사한 마음을 전했다.

팬텀은 한경닷컴 w스타뉴스와 만난 자리에서 최근 씨엔블루가 인터뷰를 통해 “요즘 듣는 노래 중 ‘조용필처럼’이 제일 좋았다”고 언급한 것과 관련, 함박웃음을 지으며 뿌듯해했다.

이날 산체스는 “정용화 씨가 ‘조용필처럼’을 좋아한다는 것을 알고 있었냐”는 질문에 “전혀 몰랐는데 정말 감사하다”며 “답례 차원이 아니라 저희도 평소 씨엔블루의 노래를 많이 듣고 있었다. 뮤지션으로 진화한 듯한 무대를 보면 배울 점도 많더라”고 말문을 열었다.

이어 “눈빛에 여유가 넘치시던데 그런 모습이 정말 부럽다. 멀리서 연예인으로 볼 때는 그저 멋있다는 생각만 했는데 최근 이야기를 나누면서 정이라는 걸 조금이나마 느낀 뒤로부터는 개인적으로 완전히 팬이 돼버렸다”고 고백해 눈길을 끌었다.

팬텀을 반하게 한 씨엔블루의 매력은 무엇이었을까? 멤버들은 입을 모아 “매너”라고 답했다. 이야기인 즉 팬텀이 후배지만 나이가 많아 서로 불편한 관계가 될 수 있음에도 불구, 선배 씨엔블루가 먼저 다가와 90도로 인사를 건네는 등 살가운 모습을 보였다는 것이다.

산체스는 “처음 KBS 신관 화장실에서 볼일 보던 중 씨엔블루를 처음 만났는데 먼저 인사를 하셨다. 저희 대표님(작곡가 김도훈)이 씨엔블루 초반 히트곡을 써 주시면서 ‘팬텀이 곧 데뷔할 거다’라는 이야기를 많이 해주신 모양인데 실제로 저희와 마주치니 반가웠던 것 같다”고 기억에 남는 일화를 전했다.

맏형 키겐 역시 “방송을 다니다 보면 그런 팀이 별로 없는데 씨엔블루는 모든 분들에게 똑같이 대한다. 정말 모범적이다. 외모가 화려해 아이돌로 인식되지만 음악적인 자아도 있고, 굉장히 호감이다”라며 씨엔블루의 모태 겸손에 크게 감탄했다. 막내 한해 역시 씨엔블루를 “진국”이라고 표현하기도.

Group Phantom expressed gratitude to CNBLUE.

Phantom, at their meeting with wStarnews, put on a big smile and looked happy that CNBLUE has recently revealed that "We love 'Like Cho Yongpil' the most among the songs these days".

When asked "Did you know that Jung Yong Hwa liked 'Like CYP'?", Sanches answered, "I had no idea but we're very thankful. It's not just reciprocating, we've been listening to CNBLUE's music all the time. There's much to learn from their stages that show their progress into musicians."

He also confessed, "He's very confident in his eyes, which I envy a lot. Judging from afar, he just looked cool as a celebrity, but we've talked a little and got to know each other recently. Personally, I've completely become a fan."

What was CNBLUE's charm that made Phantom fall in love with them? The members all joined in saying "manners." Though Phantom is a junior, they are older in terms of age so the relationship might be uncomfortable. But CNBLUE approached them first and bowed 90 degrees, being very considerate.

Sanches added "I met CNBLUE for the first time at the KBS new hall restroom, and they said hello first. Our CEO (Composer KDH) wrote hit songs for CNBLUE in the early albums and must have told them 'Phantom will debut soon', so I think they were glad to meet us in person."

Kigen also said, "In the entertainment industry, many teams aren't like this but CNBLUE acts the same toward everyone. They're very exemplary. Their looks are fancy so they're considered idols, but they have their own musical identity, I'm very fond of them," praising their modesty. The youngest Hanhae further described CNBLUE as very "Genuine."
