아이돌 ‘자작곡 시대’의 명암

‘실력파’로 뜨려다가 ‘밑천’만 드러내더라

예전부터 시도되던 아이돌의 프로듀서화는 빅뱅 이후 활발해졌다. 빅뱅의 리더 지드래곤이 직접 만든 노래들이 잇따라 큰 성공을 거두면서 빅뱅은 ‘실력파’로 차별화됐다. 이후 여러 아이돌 그룹들이 프로듀싱 역량을 갖춘 멤버들을 포함시키기 시작했다. 이들 중에는 비스트의 용준형, 씨엔블루의 정용화, 블락비의 지코 등 소속 그룹의 타이틀곡을 자작곡으로 장식하며 실력을 인정받은 이들도 있다. 하지만 대다수는 기대 이하라는 평가를 받고 있다.

...Idols' shift into producers have become more prevalent since Big Bang. The huge success of self-compositions by Big Bang's leader G-Dragon allowed Big Bang to distinguish themselves as "talented" musicians. Afterwards, several idol groups began to include members who have producing abilities. Among these, Beast's YJH, CNBLUE's Jung Yonghwa, BlockB's Zico are recognized for their talent as they graced their own group's title tracks with self-compositions. But most others are deemed as below standard.
