[마이데일리 = 전원 기자] LA다저스 류현진이 시즌 공식 테마 음악으로 씨엔블루(정용화 이종현 강민혁 이정신)의 곡을 택했다.
12일 씨엔블루 소속사 FNC 엔터테인먼트 측에 따르면 류현진의 시즌 공식 테마 곡의 제목은 ‘류캔 두잇(Ryu can do it)’으로, 정용화는 류현진을 위해 자신의 자작곡 ‘원 타임(One time)’을 재편곡하고 류현진에 맞게 가사를 새로 만들었다.
가사 속 등장하는 ‘Mr. 몬스터’는 류현진을 뜻한다. 그의 이름을 따 제목을 붙인 류현진 테마곡 ‘류캔 두잇’은 곡 초반의 아리랑 멜로디와 노래 전체에 어우러진 아리랑을 테마로 한 기타 리프가 더해져 한국의 선율을 잘 살린 곡이다.
이번 시즌 내내 류현진이 홈 경기에 등판할 때마다 다저스 스타디움에서 이 노래를 들을 수 있다.
류현진의 국내 매니지먼트사 에이스펙코퍼레이션의 유현수 대표는 “류현진이 평소 씨엔블루 음악을 즐겨 들어 이들의 에너지 넘치고 젊은 음악이 류현진과 잘 어울린다고 생각됐다. 특히 씨엔블루는 월드투어로 세계적인 위상을 높이며 국내뿐 아니라 해외에서도 큰 사랑을 받고 있는 밴드”라고 말했다.
류현진의 미국 진출 전부터 친분이 있었던 씨엔블루는 “멤버들 모두 류현진 선수의 팬이다. 류현진 선수의 선전을 기원하고 응원하는 마음으로 이번 시즌 테마곡을 만들었다”고 소감을 전했다.
LA Dodgers Ryu Hyunjin chose CNBLUE's song for his official season theme song.
According to CNBLUE's management FNC Ent., the title of Ryu Hyunjin's official season theme is "Ryu Can do it." Jung Yonghwa rearranged and rewrote the lyrics of his self-composition "One time" for Ryu Hyunjin.
"Mr. Monster" in the lyrics represent Ryu Hyunjin. Ryu Hyunjin's theme song "Ryu can do it," titled after his name, nicely harmonizes the melody and guitar riff with motif from arirang (Korean folk song).
At the Dodgers' stadium, this song can be heard every time Ryu Hyunjin makes his entrance at home games during this season.
Ryu Hyunjin's Korean management A-spec corp.'s Yu Hyunsu CEO remarked, "Ryu Hyunjin likes to listen to CNBLUE's music, and we thought their energetic, young music suited Ryu Hyunjin well. CNBLUE's also a band that elevated their prestige through the world tour, hugely popular not only in Korea but also abroad."
CNBLUE, who had acquaintance with Ryu Hyunjin even before his move to the US expressed, "All the members are fans of Ryu Hyunjin. This season's theme song was written to wish and cheer for Ryu's success."
