씨엔블루 정용화가 외국 연예인 최초로 중국 공익 캠페인의 얼굴로 활동한다.
정용화는 올해로 6주년을 맞이한 중국 공익 행사 '파워 투 고(Power To Go)'의 모델로 발탁됐다. '파워 투 고'는 행사 설립자이자 인기 배우인 천쿤(陳坤)이 동료 연예인 및 일반인 지원자들과 함께 약 일주일 정도 산간지역에서 무언 행진을 하며 힐링을 선사하는 행사로 자선 콘서트와 기부, 교육 지원 등을 포함하고 있다.
'파워 투 고' 관계자는 "대중들과 적극적으로 소통하며 중화권에서 독보적인 인기를 누리고 있는 정용화가 많은 젊은이들에게 힘을 줄 수 있다고 판단했다"며 "정용화는 음악과 따뜻한 웃음을 통해 진정한 행복의 힘을 대중들에게 전달해 온 대표적인 아티스트이기 때문에 이례적으로 외국인을 최초로 공익 캠페인 모델로 발탁하게 됐다"고 밝혔다.
한편 정용화는 중국 사회관계망 서비스(SNS) 웨이보가 주관하는 '가온웨이보차트'에서 68주간 1위를 차지한 것은 물론 한국 남자 연예인 가운데 최초로 '엘르 차이나'의 표지모델로 선정되는 등 중화권에서 큰 사랑을 받고 있다. 또한 중화권 영화 '봉미강호 결전식신' (鋒味江湖之決戰食神)에서 미슐랭 3스타 셰프 역을 맡아 촬영 중이다.

CNBLUE's Jung Yonghwa is the first foreign celebrity to become the face of a Chinese public service campaign.
Jung Yonghwa is chosen as an endorser for 'Power To Go', a Chinese public service event in the 6th year of running. 'Power To Go' is an event established by a popular actor Chen Kun, wherein celebrities and volunteers walk silently in mountainous areas to present a sense of healing. It includes charity concert, donations, and educational support.
An associate of 'Power To Go' revealed, "We determined that Jung Yonghwa, who actively communicates with the public and enjoys enormous popularity within the Sinosphere, can give energy to many young people. As Jung is a representative artist who has transmitted the power of true happiness through music and his warm smile, we made the unprecedented decision to select him as the first foreign endorser."
On another note, Jung Yonghwa has topped the 'Gaon Weibo Chart' for 68 weeks, and was also the first Korean male celebrity to grace the cover of Elle China, receiving great love from in China. He is now filming as a character of Michelin 3-star chef in a Chinese movie, "Cook Up a Storm".
