정용화, 평창 패럴림픽 홍보대사직 유지…활동은 중단 JYH to Keep PC Ambassadorship...Stops Activities

‘2018 평창 동계 패럴림픽대회’ 조직위원회 관계자는 31일 비즈엔터에 “정용화가 최근 군 입대를 발표한 이후 자숙하는 시간을 보내고 있어, 향후 전면적인 홍보 활동은 하지 않을 예정”이라고 밝혔다.

단 홍보대사 지위는 유지된다. 관계자는 “(특혜 입학 의혹이) 홍보대사 해촉 사유는 되지 않는 것으로 보고 지위를 유지하기로 했다”면서 “그동안 홍보 활동을 해온 것에 대해서 감사하게 생각한다”고 덧붙였다.

PC olymp committee told bizenter:
"Jung Yonghwa is currently self-reflecting after announcing his enlistment, thus he will not be actively promoting onwards."

However, his position as the ambassador will remain as before. 

The associate added, "We do not consider it (the suspicion on special admission) to be the grounds for dismissing his ambassadorship and decided to keep his position. We are thankful for the promotional activities he has done so far."

    Thanks for the trans. This is so different from some english sites that claimed they cant dismiss him as it would affect the games. Thankful for at least the committee for being fair and just.

    참여했을텐데.. 성화봉송하는 모습도 내심 기대했는데
    생각할수록 미치겠어요..현실생활이 엉망이예요ㅠㅠ
    팬이 이런데 용화자신은 얼마나 힘들어 할지 상상조차

    이 사건이후로 잠도 잘 못자고 일도 손에 안잡히네요. 이런 일 없었으면 활발히 활동 많이 했을텐데 시간을 돌리고 싶어요 ㅠㅠ 나도 이런데 본인마음은 어떨까. 경희대나 소속사는 잠잠해지만을 기다리는것 같고 분통터져요
