정용화가 대학원 부정 입학 의혹에 대해 무혐의 처분을 받았다.
밴드 씨앤블루 정용화의 소속사 FNC엔터테인먼트 측은 9일 오전 공식 보도자료를 통해 "올해 초 정용화는 사법기관의 조사에 성실히 임했으며, 그 결과 검찰은 정용화에게 학교의 입학과 관련한 업무방해 혐의가 없다고 최종적으로 판단을 내려 지난 7월 불기소 결정을 했다"고 알렸다.
이어 "무혐의 처분을 받은 정용화는 이로 인해 그동안 박사과정 진학을 둘러싼 여러 오해와 의혹을 씻고 법의 판단을 통해 부정 입학의 의도가 있었던 것이 아니라는 것을 인정받게 됐다"고 덧붙였다.
앞서 정용화는 군 입대 미루려 대학원에 진학했다는 대학원 진학 특혜 논란으로 뭇매를 맞은 바 있다.
한편 지난 3월 입대한 정용화는 우수한 성적으로 기초군사훈련을 마친 후 현재 702특공연대에서 성실히 군 복무 중이다.
