Q: Do you have lots of experiences with children?
YH: When I filmed “The Superman Returns” in Korea, it was actually my first time getting so close to children to talk and communicate with them.
During the process, I felt their unique clear souls understanding their thoughts.
I’ve learned a lot.
Q: Was there any memories about sound or music when you were little that left an impression with you?
YH: When I was six, my mom heard my singing children songs and thought my singing was too bad.
So she made me go to singing lessons, and let me learn to play the piano, too.
That’s how I got into music and musical instruments since very young.
And they became part of my life ever since.
Q: What’s the inspiration for this drawing?
YH: On the way to an orchard, there is this squirrel.
I heard this is about everybody having more happy times with families.
I heard about someone's experience (a kid in the campaign?!) who saw a squirrel on the way to an orchard and thought he/she wanted to spend more happy time w/own family. After hearing that, I think squirrel fits this theme very well.
That’s why I drew this picture with the squirrel design.
Q: If you have the opportunity to give children lessons, what will you teach them?
YH: Well … I want to be the children’s music teacher.
Because children’s music is very pure, just hearing their music makes one feel so healed already.
I want to learn with them when we have the lessons together.
