Q.이번 싱가포르 여행 어땠나?
전체적으로 싱가포르의 깔끔하고 세련된 느낌이 좋았다. 그래서 외국인이 많이 찾는 것 같다.
Q.여행은 얼마 만인가?
데뷔 이후 처음인 것 같다. 공식적인 스케쥴로 방문할 때는 아무래도 동선이 많이 노출되기 때문에 돌아다니기가 힘들다. 얼마 전 앨범 재킷과 뮤직비디오 촬영차 런던에 갔을 때도 바쁘게 일정을 소화했다.
Q.해외에 나오면 자유가 좀 느껴지나?
우선은 한국에 비해 알아보는 분들이 적으니 자유롭긴 하다. 사실 우리나라에서도 자연스럽게 길을 다니면 알아보는 분이 많지 않다. 자꾸 스스로 의식하게 되니까 불편한 것 같다.

Q.오는 내내 비행기 안에서는 무얼 하며 시간을 보냈나?
비행기 안에서는 잠을 안 자려고 노력한다. 요즘은 기내 엔터테인먼트 시스템이 워낙 잘 되어 있어서 시간 가는 줄 모른다. 오면서도 한국 영화 두 편을 보았다.
Q.낯선 곳에 가면 해보고 싶은게 있었나?
조금 다른 이야기지만, 제주도나 산속에 작업실을 가지는 게 꿈이었다. 지금도 여전히 그런 상상을 한다. 비나 눈이 많이 내리는 날 외딴 곳에 있는 작업실에서 곡을 쓰는 상상을 하면 행복하다.
Q.여행 파트너로서 서로가 어떤 것 같나?
함께 여행할 기회가 흔하지 않지만 같이 살기 때문에 거의 붙어 지낸다. 그래서 오히려 여행지에서 각자의 시간을 보내는 편이다. 방송을 하면 많이 얘기하고 많이 웃어야 하니깐 이런 시간엔 조용히 차분하게 보내게 된다.
Q.대게 아이돌 그룹 멤버들은 자유 시간이 생기면 뭔가 해야 한다는 강박에 시달린다고 하더라. 씨엔블루 멤버들도 그런가?
데뷔 초에는 그런편이었는데 요즘은 틈나면 충분히 쉬고 자려고 노력한다. 일이 있을 때 중간중간 졸거나 자는 스타일이 아니기 때문에 일할 때 집중해서 하고 일이 끝나면 몰아서 쉰다. 잠을 자고 에너지를 충전하는 것이 중용한 것 같다.
Q.해외로 나오면 주로 어떤 음식을 즐기는 편인가?
먹는 걸 워낙 좋아하고 다른 사람이 권하는 대로 잘 먹는다. 리조트나 호텔에서는 목숨걸고 조식을 사수하는 편이다. 어제도 마감5분전에 뛰어 내려와서 빵 하나 먹는 것 보지 않았나.(웃음)한식은 잘 알 먹는다. 한식은 한국에서 먹어야 가장 맛있다.
Q.이번 여정에서 가장 기억에 남는 건 무엇이었나?
촬영 후 클라크키(Clarke Quay)에서 먹은 칠리크랩이 생각난다. 어찌나 많이 먹었는지 아직도 칠리크랩 냄새가 맴 도는 것 같다. 당분간 칠리크랩 생각도 하고 싶지 않을 정도로!
How was your Singapore trip?
I liked the overall clean and cool feeling of Singapore. I think that's why many foreigners come to visit.
How long has it been since you last traveled?
It seems like the first after debut. When we're abroad for an official schedule, our destinations are more or less revealed so it's difficult to get around. When we went to London to shoot our album cover and music video, we had to follow the hectic schedule.
Do you feel a sense of freedom when you're abroad?
It does feel a little free since not as many people recognize me compared to Korea. Even in Korea, if I walk around naturally not that many people actually spot me. I think it's uncomfortable because I'm self-conscious.
How did your spend time on the plane?
I try not to sleep while on the plane. The entertainment system is so well-equipped nowadays, I don't know how the time passes. On the way here, I watched two Korean films.
Was there something you wanted to try when you go somewhere foreign?
This is on another note, but it was my dream to have a studio in Jeju island or in the midst of a mountain. I still dream of it. I get happy when I think of writing music at a remote place on a day that rains or snows heavily.
What do you think of each other as a travel partner?
We normally don't get to travel together but we live together so we're usually together. So we rather spend our time separately once abroad. Since we need to talk and laugh a lot when shooting shows, I tend to spend these times quietly and calmly.
Most idol group members say they feel compelled to do something during free time. Are CNBLUE members like that too?
I was that way when right after debut, but I try to rest and sleep enough nowadays. I'm not the type to doze off or sleep during work, so I concentrate when I need to work and rest at once after it's over.
When you're abroad, what kind of food do you enjoy?
I really love eating and am eager to eat anything that others recommend. At resorts or hotels, I guard the breakfast with my life. Didn't you see me running down 5 minutes before the hours ended to grab a bread? (Laughs) I don't eat Korean food. Korean food tastes the best in Korea.
What was the most memorable for you during this trip?
The chile crabs we ate at Clarke Quay after the photoshoot. I had so much that it still seems to smell like chile crabs. For a while, I don't think I'll miss chile crabs!

Thank you so much, heich~ You guys are really fast. I ate chili crabs in Clarke Quay too when I visited Singapore, now I'm curious if Yonghwa ate at the same place, kkk. He' svery professional, trying not to sleep/doze off while at work even during breaks. And I really wish one day, he'll have that studio in Jeju. Thinking about it makes me happy too :)

일본 모 잡지와의 온도차가 느껴지긴 하지만 나름 색다른 맛이 있네요 ㅎㅎㅎ
쎄씨에서도 한 번 언급한 적 있었지만, "일이 있을 때 중간중간 졸거나 자는 스타일이 아니다"라는 말도 뭔가 정용화를 정의내리는 하나의 키워드로 자리잡은 것 같구요.

용화가 싱가폴 화보 찍으러 가기 직전에 저두 싱가폴 여행하고 왔는데..제일 처음 간 곳이 클락키 유명한 칠리크랩 레스토랑...
동시간대에 함께 한 건 아니지만..그래도 공통분모가 하나라도 있다는 것에 만족하는...나는야 수니...ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
